The “Patriotic Congress for a National Rescue (KPSN)” has learned with deep dismay and profound emotion of the tragic death of Me Junior Chérelus, attorney and university professor, which occurred on Monday, November 10, 2025, near the Departmental Delegation of the Centre, in Hinche. In this painful circumstance, the KPSN extends its deepest sympathies and heartfelt solidarity to the family of the deceased, his colleagues, his students, as well as to the entire Haitian university sector, once again bereaved by the blind and relentless violence that continues to plague our country. The KPSN strongly condemns this unacceptable act and deplores the growing trivialization of crime in our society. It is time to put an end to this spiral of barbarism, which undermines the very foundations of the nation and shatters the hope of an entire people. Through this tragedy, the KPSN issues a call to the national conscience: to every citizen, to the institutions, and to all the vital forces of the country, so that a moral and collective awakening may finally restore dignity, justice, and security for all. Haiti cannot rise again if its places of learning are destroyed. Without education, there will be neither reconstruction, nor stability, nor future. The KPSN bows respectfully before the memory of Me Junior Chérelus and reaffirms its commitment to work, with determination, for a Haiti founded on respect for life, knowledge, and freedom.
